ABSTRACT:
Differing interpretations of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requirements have made it hard for merchants and assessors to agree upon an organization's ability to achieve and maintain compliance. The goal for PCI version 1.2 is to ease these complications by introducing clarifications in language and stronger definitions of terms without significantly increasing the difficulty of meeting this mandate.
